Idly Sambar






Ingredients:

  • Moon dal - 1 /2cup
  • Thoor dal - 1/2cup
  • Drumsticks- 5 pieces
  • Carrot - 1/2
  • brinjal - 1 Medium size
  • Potato - 1
  • Green chillies- 1
  • tomato - 1 Medium size
  • onion - 1 Medium size
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
  • olive oil - 2 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves -4 count
  • Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Salt for taste
Method:

  • In a pan fry the moong dal for 5 mts.
  • Add the green chillies then add onion & fry the onion till gloden brown then add tomato.
  • Add the thoor dal,moong dal,vegetables.
  • Pressure them till 2 whistle.
  • Then,open the pan & add coriander powder,chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt & cook for 5mts.
  • Now,in a tempering vessel pre-heat the oil & splutter the mustard seeds,urad dal,curry leaves.
  • Now Sambar is ready .
