PEERKANGAI (Ridge Gourd) PORIYAL

Ingredients:

  • Ridge gourd - 2 small ones,peeled & chopped.
  • Onion-1 big
  • Chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Corinder powder - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seed- 1/2 tsp

  • Channa dal- 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal- 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves- as needed
  • salt to taste


Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds.After it pop up,add channa dal & urad dal.saute it.
  • Add curry leaves & onion.saute well.

  • Add the chopped ridge gourd & salt. saute it & close it with lid.
  • when the ridge gourd becomes soft & well cooked.

Serve with rice,sambar.
