Sora Puttu






Ingredients:
  • Sora meen (Shark fish) - 2 lbs
  • onions - 1/4 kg
  • green chillies - 4 - 5 ( to taste)

  • Fennal seeds - 1tsp
  • garlic - 5 pods
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • curry leaves - 10 - 12
  • oil to fry

Method:
  • In a pan add the washed and cleaned fish along with some turmeric
  • Boil the sora with a little water adding turmeric & salt to it.

  • Remove from fire and keep it aside
  • Peel the garlic and keep it aside
  • Cut onion into fine slices
  • Cut green chillies into fine slices
  • Now remove the skin of the fish
  • Now smash it well

  • The fish wil look like puttu
  • In a kadai add oil and add the fennel seeds then add garlic,curry leaves and green chillies then fry until the garlic are cooked
  • Now add the onions fry untill it turns golden brown in colour then add turmeric powder little.
  • Now add the fish and salt .
  • Mix it well
  • Leave it in simmer for 5 mins.
  • Serve hot with rasam rice or pepper kuzhambu
